The aim of effectively utilizing the space under the canopy roof resulted in a special, half-suspended roof structure construction.
By the design of the canopy roof of an open building in Nummela, we fully took our customer’s wish into consideration of utilizing the maximum usable space under the roof. In order to achieve this aim, we had to minimize the number of columns used under the canopy roof. This resulted in a special, half-suspended roof structure, which is supported by using only 2 main load bearing columns of the structure.
